One of the least-heard about elections this year is in Montana. A state-senatorial election has resulted in a tie, after several manualrecounts. Daily Kos talks about it. It happened in Polson, which is a town I've been to, but don't remember well. Seems the Democratic candidate is fighting neck and neck with the Independent candidate (the Republican is far behind). The big deal? Well, Montana just elected a brand new Democratic Governor (thank god) and its state house is tied 50:49:1 with Republicans leading Dems. Might just be a chance for something right to happen with the Democrats in Montana. It's usually such a red state.
Posted by anne at December 6, 2004 04:08 PMIt's like that tree falling in a forest question... "If an election is held in Montana, and it results in a tie, does anyone care?"
Posted by: The Philosopher at December 6, 2004 04:50 PMi like that although "red" is no longer strongly associated with oh-so fearful communism, but the color red is still representative of something equally as e-v-i-l...
Posted by: Our Dog Blue at December 6, 2004 10:31 PMoh yea, Mr. Philosopher dude, I hope you remember that I've already answered the question of what one hand clapping sounds like, so don't make me answer yours.
